International Compost Associations call for COP26 action on recycling of organic waste
For several months, AORA has been working with a number of our international sister associations towards creating a new global alliance. The aim is to increase our industry’s influence on major international policy issues, to improve resource and knowledge sharing, and to increase the value provided to the members of each of our associations.
We are pleased to advise that these discussions have been successful, and we look forward to the global launch of the new alliance before Christmas. It is a big step forward for our industry, here and globally, and will provide a platform to influence global policy at the highest level. This is important because increasingly, global trends influence national policies which can help (or hurt) our industry.
To this end, whilst the alliance has not yet formally launched, it has issued the following media release to coincide with COP26, the UN Climate Change Conference. It is a taste of things to come.
