Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) is on next week!

AORA is proud to be a partnering with the premier business event for the waste, recycling and resource recovery sector, Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE), to present the AORA Organics Zone. Positioned on the exhibition floor at AWRE 2019, the area will be dedicated to showcasing companies with recycling solutions to divert organic resources from landfill. With up to 3,000 waste management professionals, business leaders and government representatives expected to attend the two-day live event, AWRE 2019 promises to be the ultimate showcase of today’s global waste and recycling industry.

As the platform used by waste and recycling communities to learn and collaborate, the AWRE Speaker Series tackles the industry’s most challenging and compelling issues. Presented over two dedicated stages in 2019 – the Food Waste Stage will facilitate discussion and a focus on the national issue that is food waste. From sustainable package solutions, updates on the national food waste strategy to presentations from true food waste warriors.

On Thursday 31st October from 2:15PM – 3:15PM, our Director, Charlie Emery will be participating on the panel - How healthy soils are created from food waste. This session will discuss how building healthy soils with compost provides nutrients, increases moisture retention, decreases likelihood of erosion, regulates soil temperature and provides capacity to store carbon. Come along to learn more and hear from an expert panel of speakers as they discuss key initiatives and opportunities driving long term solutions. Plus, the industry’s leading minds will come together to discuss the future of waste management in Australia.

The Hon Matt Kean MP, Minister for Energy and Environment will open the breakfast, followed by AORA Director, Charlie Emery and the panel of experts to discuss future issues and challenges.
