We are very proud to be the first fully enclosed receival and in-vessel composting facility in Queensland, providing organic recycling services to many local Governments. Our facility is leading the industry in Queensland with the ability to manage the most odorous waste streams without causing environmental nuisance.

The origins of our company go back to 1985 when we entered the marketplace primarily as a business selling Machinery that processed green organics (predominantly vegetation and woody materials).  Over the next 10 years we engineered and constructed the first Australian-Made mobile hammer mills to grind  these materials and ultimately became the main driving force in replacing sawdust as the standard composting medium in Queensland.  

In 2001 we won our first Government issued contract to process Domestic and Commercial Greenwaste for the Brisbane City Council. The demands of this contract  led us to purchase our Yatala based property where we first started producing organic Soils, Mulch and Compost.  

From humble beginnings as a small composting facility, whose principal mandate was Landfill Diversion, Phoenix has now grown into a fully integrated waste handling, separation and processing Resource with plans to improve and develop the Infrastructure onsite even further.
